Re: Afc & Nfc Championship Games
I chose Packers and Chargers (yeah I know Patriots will be the favorites, especially with the injuries the Chargers suffered yesterday, but I just can't vote for 'em).
I for one am really looking forward to the Giants vs Packers game at Lambeau, it's gonna be a good one. I hope it's cold and snowy, you've gotta admit that adds a little flavor doesn't it? Loved watching the old man beat the crap out of the Seahawks!

Re: Afc & Nfc Championship Games
Don't belittle this Giant team. The defense pressured Romo all day, hit him on most every play. The Dallas O line was supposedly the best in the NFC and the Giants blitz packages had them confused. The Giants have only lost 1 game all year on the road, and that was the opener in Dallas. The Packers are playing well, but so are the Giants.
That being said, no one is going to beat the Patriots. Hate to say this, but they could be the best team ever.

Re: Afc & Nfc Championship Games
I'm picking the mother of all upsets. The San Diego Chargers. Why?
...cuz I love the underdog.
I will definitely agree with tx about the "G-men". Everyone's already crowning the Patriots as AFC Champs, and understandably so. But I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss the Giants. They can beat the Packers. They have the defense. If Manning doesn't self destruct, (and he can) and if Favre does (and he can, he's been known to throw a handful of picks in a big game, especially if he gets behind early) the Giants could surprise a lot of people.
Personnally, I'm pulling for the Chargers and Packers, but my money would have to be on the Pats and Packers. ...that's why I'm not betting this weekend's games.Faithful Rams fan since 1968

I won't vote for the cheatriots because they're losers, no matter how much the officials help them win.
It looks like the league will annoint the pats best ever, by making sure they beat the G-men in a few weeks. The Pack D had the best chance of beating the Pat's, even with the officials calling all the necessary (phantom) defensive holding and PI to keep the pats in the game.
The pats D will fluster Manning, even without the officials allowing them to be off-sides. A game that will be taped for viewing the commercials, and the hope that the officials can't help an overconfident pats team win the game.
