AFC Outlook

The AFC has some teams that are very talented and look like formidable foes to whomever comes out of the NFC for the Super Bowl.

1. Pittsburgh - Looks like they stole the plan from the 2000 Ravens. They have a great running game in ex-Ram Bettis, 2 very physical receivers in Hines Ward and Plaxico Burress, and a stingy defensive squad.

2. Baltimore - Don't care what happens to them in the regular season, with the defense they have, the Ravens are a threat. They were severly hampered when RB Lewis went down for the year.

3. New England - Coach Martz said the Patriots were probably the most physical team we played all year. Hear that Bucs and Saints? Great running game with Antowain Smith, decent passing game with the emergence of Troy Brown, lots of D with ex Ram Roman Phifer having a great year. Host the Dolphins next week, game for the division.

4. Seattle - Seattle? Did Tx really say Seattle? Yes. Here is why. Outstanding running game with either Watters or Alexander. Defensively, Kirkland has revived his career there in Seattle this year. Finish with road games at the Giants and San Diego, and home game against the Chiefs with revenge on their mind. May make playoffs as a wildcard, and the Seahawks will be dangerous.

Oakland can't stop the run, won a bunch of games early. Miami dosen't really know which team is going to show up, as the Dolphins have been goose egged twice this year, more notably recently by the Whiners 21-0.

Monkey wrench team - The Jets. The Jets could snatch the playoff spot from Seattle if the Jets win out. Jets play at Indy, at home against Buffalo, and finish with the Raiders. Indy can't stop anyone, not even Atlanta. Buffalo is a watch it might bite you game, and the Raiders will be coasting into the playoffs.

Fun stuff in the NFL.
