Albert Haynesworth might be available???
On Mike and Mike, they talked about Albert Haynesworth having a meeting with Mike Shanahan on Wednesday. It is expected that he is going to be cut after the meeting. I really don't like the guy and think we are set on defense, however...... We play the type of defense that he likes to play in and can be a huge power house (he could be our Suh). I think he is going back to Tennessee but do you think we take a chance on him to help us get into the playoffs?

Re: Albert Haynesworth might be available???
Hayneworth, probably more than any other player discussed, is 100% the exact opposite of a team player. He is arrogant, thinks he owns the team, and can tell the coaches when he plays and when he doesn't. Read some of the stuff about him, one of his teammates even called out his selfish behavior. We have worked hard to establish a team-first mentality, and I think Haynesworth would disrupt that more than any other player that was available.
No. Absolutely no.

Albert Haynesworth makes Randy Moss look like The Reverend.
In Madden NFL 10... yes. In real life... no way.

Re: Albert Haynesworth might be available???
No way I seen him give up completey on a play and basically take a nap on MNF or SNF either way everyone was watching him and he still did it. I know thats just one play, but we need people that go 110% 100% of the time.

Re: Albert Haynesworth might be available???
i dont know all the RAMifications of his contract and NFL rules, but if available Spags being the defensive genius he is and ideologist of the 4 pillar system will determine if this is doable. Based on his ongoing antics I'm sure we will pass.
Another big question would be is he willing to play for us.Last edited by LA Rammer; -12-07-2010 at 03:51 PM.

Re: Albert Haynesworth might be available???
The Redskins have suspended him for the remainder of the season.
Nothing to see here, folks.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Albert Haynesworth might be available???
If the Lions didn't have such a crowded d line I could easily see him reuninting with Jim Schwartz.
I think Spags has similar temperment as Schwartz and could see Fat Albert playing hard for him.
If we end up with him I'll support it, if we don't I fully understand why.
He is the epitome of what we don't want, but if Spags and Billy think he can turn his career around, and if he comes cheap, I'd be all for it.
Of course I do need to get back to my Madden game now....
EDIT: This isn't the droid you are looking for.

Re: Albert Haynesworth might be available???
I wouldn't mind it. Its 1 less position to draft, fills a big need, and would only make our defense that much better. When he played were he wanted to (4-3) he was the best defensive tackle in football and was a force... Imagine how many more sacks we would have with him? Chris Long would be running wild (not that he isn't already).
All in all I dont mind. I can see why they wouldn't though, and I totally expect DeSpags not to grab him.

Albert's abilities in a person with Fred Robbin's attitude, absolutely.
Albert's abilities in Albert's body with his attitude? No way.

Re: Albert Haynesworth might be available???
If we ever need a specialist to stomp on an opponents exposed head with his cleats, I'm all for it!
He'd have a major problem passing a one pillar philosophy though, let alone four.

Re: Albert Haynesworth might be available???
He's bound to go back to the Titans, if the Redskins waive him. I'm sure he'll be happy there, he can even be buddies with Cortland Finnegan.

Sure Jeff Fisher comes off as a dirty coach but despite playing dirty, even he has the charisma to discipline the likes of Haynesworth and Moss.
