Alexander's foot not healing the way the team hoped
Seahawks | Alexander's foot not healing the way the team hoped

Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports Seattle Seahawks RB Shaun Alexander (foot) underwent tests Monday, Oct. 30 on his foot. The tests showed the crack in his foot has not been healing the way the team and Alexander would have hoped, meaning he will not be cleared to return for Week 9. Alexander might choose to see a specialist to get a better indication of why his foot is not healing the way they had expected.

A few days after Seahawks running back Shaun Alexander told FOXSports.com that he would play in the team's next game as long as results of either an MRI or x-ray scheduled for Monday were positive, his timetable was thrown off course.
Sources told FOXSports.com that medical tests have shown the crack in Alexander's foot has not been healing the way the team and Alexander would have hoped. As a result, Alexander has not been cleared to return this week.
Both Seahawks head coach Mike Holmgren and Alexander had believed that Monday's tests were simply a formality and that the NFL's reigning MVP would be back for this week's game.
Alexander may now choose to see a specialist to get a better indication of why his foot had not healed the way they had expected.
As recently as Friday, Alexander seemed to think his return was almost inevitable.
"I'll be back in full practice by Wednesday and I'll go next week," Alexander told FOXSports.com. "I ran on a treadmill this week and it felt fine. I've felt fine for a while. My conditioning is fine — I never let myself get out of good shape. As long as the MRI doesn't show anything drastic I'll be back this week."
Well, apparently something drastic was shown, because Alexander appears to be out for at least one more week.

So will probably not play vs Rams. I think thats one he might want to play, but I wouldn't play him yet. He could re-injure it easily.
