Art Monk is in the HOF

This weekend Art was inducted into the Hall of Fame. It has taken a long time, but he finally made it. This is good news for the receivers out there that don't put on a show.

A co-worker of mine was telling the story of how Art heard about it today. He is friends with him. Apparently Charles Mann was talking to Art's wife when they announced it and he got to tell Art Monk the news since Monk was not watching.

Makes me happy to know that good players are recognized.

Re: Art Monk is in the HOF

I am disapointed that it took this long for Art to get in. such a great player who diserves it alot. Maybe this means Isaac Bruce is a shoe in too. Man how quick time passes. just 13 years ago, the great art monk played football. and darrell green played 6 years ago.

Re: Art Monk is in the HOF

It was a while ago for Art Monk. I guess you don't know much about him Phat-Money. You were pretty young back then.

Darrell Green made it in too.....that is good.

your right about that, maybe Isaac won't have to wait as long as Monk did.

Re: Art Monk is in the HOF

Well deserved though long overdue. Congrats to Monk, a very fine WR and a good man. Salute!

True Monk's induction could/should be good news for Bruce, but Cris Carter didn't get in and that was kind of surprising to me. I know it's his first year of eligibility, but I thought Carter would be a first ballot Hall of Famer for sure. So that worries me a little bit for Bruce.

It will all depend on who is in the class with Bruce, hopefully there aren't any other WRs.
