Bears Fail to Make the Playoffs
It's nice to see lovie smith lose. What an idiot this guy was to fire Ron Rivera. The only reason the Bears were a playoff caliber team under smith's tenure was because of Ron Rivera's defenses. Look at the numbers for this season and last on Defense and you will see a sharp decline since lovie decided that Rivera didn't run the cover 2 enough and put his lapdog babich at that position instead. I hated him as the DC for the Rams- this guy knew the cover 2 and nothing else. I blame him for the decline in the Rams D too. He got rid of a lot of good players because they weren't "lovie-type players" and made our defense soft. He gets far too much credit for the Tampa 2- which was Monty Kiffen's D and has been living off that for years. All he was there was the LB coach. That's like giving a WR coach credit for an offense. I will always remember lovie smith for one thing- in the most important drive of the most important game of any player or coach's career (Superbowl)- he went into a prevent and allowed the Patsies to march downfield uncontested for the winning FG. What a tool- I hope he gets fired.

I'm sure you did. I was telling the Eagle fans at work that I thought the Raiders would beat Tampa Bay, but I didn't think the Bears would fall to the Texans, but apparently I was giving lovie too much credit.

I hear ya. I had little hope of the Eagles making the playoffs but still wanted to kick the ish out of Dallas. When I woke up and put on the games I was very pleasantly surprised.
