If Arch can garner a trade to a team that just went to the Super Bowl, then that proves the talent level in the NFL is severly depleted.

He's not as bad as everyone makes him seem. One of the reasons he didn't find success in Washington is because hes more of a 8th man or in the box-type safety. The Redskins already have a DB that can come up and play in the box in Sean Taylor. I don't think this was by any means an amazing move by Chicago, but he's a serviceable safety that can come in and help them on running downs.

Wow the bears wasted a free agent move right there did they not see him in st.louis or washington oh wait he did not even start there he is terrible

smizz is correct. he is not terrible, the issue with washington was that they made him the highest paid player at his position in the league and his coverage skills are awful. He is above average in my view in run support, but not a superstar in that area either as he whiffs on many tackles. In addition, he has a significant back problem.
This all comes down to cap allocation. In a limited role, arch can certainly make plays and help his team.

Im just glad he is off the rams he almost screwed us a playoff spot in 2004
