Best Uniforms?

Quote:
Which NFL Team Has the Best Uniforms? Let The Beast tell You

by The Beast

Now that training camps are in full swing and the first preseason game is over, the NFL season has already begun.

We could predict Super Bowl winners, breakout players, or even the Green Bay Packers to win the Super Bowl, but why not rank the best uniforms in the entire NFL. I hope you enjoy.

Each of the following teams will be rated on a 1-10 scale for each of the following categories:

A. Color Scheme: It is essential to have the right color scheme. Some colors simply look good together while others don’t.

B. Helmets: On a football uniform, the helmet is one of the most recognizable parts. A sharp design or pride stickers give a bonus to a team.

C. Flashiness/Sharpness: There has to be some excitement; I don’t want a jersey to be plain and boring. However, there can also be too much flashiness. A team needs to be sharp but flashy at the same time.

D. Tradition: It has to have some tradition in it. When you look at the jersey, it has to remind you of great players, legendary coaches, and dominating teams.

Any Guesses?

Re: Best Uniforms?

That's how I've always felt. I did like the gold stripe on the jerseys, but as said, the jersey need not be too flashy.
I knew the Packers would be up there.
And yes, our helmets are AWESOME!
Thanks for posting!

Re: Best Uniforms?

sweet post, I agree although I would have to throw in the chargers. But I also think the rams have the best uni's unless they where the blue home jersey's with the white pants. KEEp the gold

Re: Best Uniforms?

I have to agree on the Rams. I've always thought the horns looked great, and I don't see how you could argue the Rams don't have tradition. I can agree with most the teams on that list, but I'm surprised to see the Redskins and Falcons. The Redskins' uniform is so non-descript.

Agreed, especially since the curved horns were the very first helmet logo. Now that's tradition.

On his list, i probably would get rid of the Giants (what a horribly plain look). Also, I'd give a merit badge to the Raiders solely for their helmet logo, which is awesome. Their uniforms are bad, but you have to give credit to the shield crest of an eye patched football player over crossing swords.

Re: Best Uniforms?

The Rams lack for tradition? What? The Rams were the FIRST team to put a team logo on their helmet. Every other team in the NFL just copied US.

I too was surprised at some of the teams in the top ten, and some that were missing.
Personally I don't care for the Giants uni's. The color scheme of the Broncos is hedious. The Falcons? Does nothing for me. My top ten would look something like this...

1a. Rams current away jerseys and gold pants. (old blue & white scheme as well)
1b. Chargers throwback powder blues, with white helmet.
3. Packers
4. Lions
5. Cowboys
6. Redskins
7. Bucs
8. Panthers
9. Cardinals
10. Jaquars

...as a note, I really like the current Rams white pants and white jersey. I'd like to see them wear that one a little more.

For real man, those Alt. White ones are crazy ugly. Plus we always lose when we wear them, I never wanna see those things again.

Re: Best Uniforms?

Yeah we definitely have the best. I also argue with some teams here, the Bengals should be up there, their alternate black ones are sick, and they have a great color scheme. The Rams also have that gold alternate but i never see it (and i barely get to see the rams play). When the uniforms had the gold stripes on the sides of the blue top, with gold pants, that was the best.

On a side note, I always wondered why people thought that the Raiders had the scariest/most intimidating uniforms, they're really not that great.
