Gregg Pastore, of BuffaloBills.com, reports the Buffalo Bills general manager Marv Levy said Monday, Feb. 13, that the Buffalo Bills would like to retain free agent CB Nate Clements and that placing the franchise tag on Clements would be a consideration. "We will make every effort to retain him," said Levy. "(The franchise tag) is an option and (Clements) is the likely person we'd use it on. I hope that we can do a contract that goes beyond that but sometimes you have to put the franchise tag on and then work on the contract part of it. It is definitely an option." The deadline for the Bills to designate a franchise or transition player is 4:00 p.m. ET Thursday, February 23.
