Re: Branch to the hawks
No, that's not good, as he could help the Hawks quite a bit this year. That said, I don't know that I'd give up a number 1 pick for him.

Re: Branch to the hawks
Whats not goodabout that? Our Dbs handle Pro Bowler's Rod Smith and Javon Walker well. Even with Branch that offensive line improved ZERO. Alexander had 59 yards rushing, and the oline got eaten up. Bad move or them IMO. Yes they get a good reciever but after yesturday they need oline depth.

Re: Branch to the hawks
our secondary is as good as our pass rush. Its one game guys, dont overeact. There is no way that this is good news for us. If they overpaid in picks, that is a next year and future issue. They are a MUCH better team with branch than without him and therefore it is bad news for us, end of story.

Re: Branch to the hawks
branch will stretch the field for hawks which does not bode well for the nfc west... i know we think our rams has such a great secondary now, but people its one game. Our defense will be vastly improved from last year can they honestly play like a top 10 defense the whole year. I hope they can but again its only one game...

Re: Branch traded to Seattle
Would this concern us? Might this be the dagger giving the 'Squeeze Hawks" the division and quite possibly the conference?
I don't think so. But a first round draft choice is good deal for the Pats.

Re: Branch to the hawks
I can't stand the seahawks. I just really hate them lol, hopefully, our D will be good enough to stop their WR's, especially now that they have him.

Re: Branch to the hawks
C'mon everyone no need to panic. Branch is not going to hurt the NFC West. The division title will be played between the Rams and Cards. Seahawks still got to get over the hangover + first round draft pick? Yikes. Pats made the good move.
We controlled Walker okay, as initially posted, and really the Lions almost pulled that game off. The Lions???

Re: Branch to the hawks
Branch is good but he's no Torry Holt even though he thinks he is.

Pats made out well on that one.

Re: Branch to the hawks
Pretty much. I don't know how anyone can view this as something other than bad news. Jackson, Burleson, and Engram were a solid unit. Add Branch to that, and it looks rather dangerous. I think they overpaid for Branch and I certainly would not have made that move, but let's call it what it is - I believe he's as much a #1 receiver as Jackson is. Neither of them are game-breakers, but there's enough overall talent in that unit to be deadly.
