Re: Brett Farve
I agree. Favre is the type of guy everybody repects, but making the Packers twist in the wind is disruptive and disrespectful. But he's Brett Favre, so what can they say? Tough situation for Green Bay.

On 34 Pass Attempts, Jamie Martin had a 92.9 passer rating. That was the first year he threw a football.

Yeah, and he developed into a stud, didn't he?

Re: Brett Farve
Well he has completed 66% of his passes and does have an 81 QB rating. But has more Ints. than TDs.

Re: Brett Farve
I guess I just don't see your point. You cite Rodgers' QB rating based on 16 attempts as if that says something about the kind of pro he'll be. Then you bring up Jamie Martin's high rating on 34 attempts his rookie year. So what is you conclusion? Obviously coming out and putting up good numbers doesn't mean you're going to be a superstar, because Martin isn't. So why should Rodgers' low rating over 16 attempts make any difference?

Re: Brett Farve
That isn't Martin's best rating.

Re: Brett Farv
I'm not a Packer fan or Favre fan. I read, listen and watch NFL news every day. Once every couple of weeks someone updates Favre's situation and for some odd reason it doesn't phase me. At all. I don't like or dislike Favre any more or less than have the past 10 years. Is someone out there being bombarded with so much Brett Favre related news that they are growing weary or agitated?
I don't think the Packers are going to suffer one way or the other and apparently they're happy to give Favre the time he needs to figure things out. I haven't heard of an ultimatum or timeline by management. If Green Bay's alright with Favre's approach, why should Rams fans be getting uptight about it?

Kurt Warner - Rating 47.2
Donovan McNabb - Rating 60.1
Drew Brees - Rating 94.8
Jeff Garcia - Rating 77.9
Marc Bulger - Rating 101.5
Brett Favre - Rating 85.3
Most of these quarterbacks had great numbers in their rookie season and turned out great.

Re: Brett Farve
How many of them threw only 16 pass attempts in those years?

Re: Brett Farv
Favre is an ego maniac. He would play 10 more years if he thought they would let him.
...and as for all your little argument above, I believe Warner only threw 9 or 10 passes in that last game of 98, and apparently had passer rating of 47, so probably true that 16 passes does not a career make.
Who knows about Rogers. My guess is that Favre will come back and end up being pulled mid season for Rogers when they are 3 and 6.
