Byron Leftwich to be released or traded
As I type this Jack Del Rio of the Carolina Panthers is announcing on NFL Network (Live) that Garrard will be the starting QB and Leftwich has been released.:x
This is why I didn't put in my Mock Bets yet. Just in case there were any earth shattering transactions. Luckily there is still time for those who did to tweak their guesses....
Re: Byron Leftwich released
Wow, i know hes not been super fantastic, but hes been solid for the most part, i bet he ends up in Tampa or Oakland.
Re: Byron Leftwich released
I mayhave misunderstood that Leftwich was released. Sportscenter is saying the Panthers are looking to trade Leftwich.
I guess we will learn which is actually the case soon....

The Jacksonville Jaguars are parting ways with quarterback Byron Leftwich after four frustrating, injury-filled seasons.
Coach Jack Del Rio said Friday the team plans to trade or release the former first-round draft pick. Del Rio also named mobile backup David Garrard his starter heading into next week's season opener, believing Garrard gives the team a better chance to win.

Re: Byron Leftwich to be released or traded
Anyone remember Rick Sutcliffe's delivery when he was still pitching in MLB? That's how Leftwich throws a football. He'll never be better than ordinary unless he shortens his throwing motion by about 60%.
