cardinals sign mike gandy
i guess the cardinals dont think that joe thomas will be around at #5 and it appears that they arent going to try to trade up to get him. They have signed mike gandy to replace leonard davis.

Re: cardinals sign mike gandy
http://www.azcentral.com/blogs/index...logtype=SportsI'm not sure yesterday's signing of offensive lineman Mike Gandy makes it any less likely the Cardinals would draft Wisconsin offensive tackle Joe Thomas with the fifth overall pick.
Many people think Gandy is a better guard than a tackle, and it's possible he could end up there with the Cardinals. I don't think the new staff is sold on Milford Brown as the starting left guard.
It's not as if the Cardinals can look at Oliver Ross and Gandy and feel comfortable with the left tackle spot for years to come. If Thomas is as good as everyone thinks, he would be hard to pass up.
That's not to say that Gandy was a bad acquisition. Guys like him, veterans who can play two positions, are very valuable, especially to a team like the Cardinals who need depth and experience.
I still think Thomas is their #1 target if he's available.
