Re: Cards Shocking Da Bears..
Probably helps that the Bears and Grossman are giving this game away, but yeah, he's looked sharp and poised. Four of their drives thus far have started within the Bears 35-yard line. On the four drives where they actually had to move down the field, one resulted in a touchdown with three resulting in punts. If the Bears can stop giving this away, they might have a chance.

Re: Cards Shocking Da Bears..
The Bears beat the Squawks.
The Squawks beat us.
We beat 'Zona.
If 'Zona keeps this up and beats the Bears, does this mean we are better than the Bears AND Seattle?
No, but it does prove one thing:
If 'Zona can open up the can of WhoopAss on Da Bears, then we can beat ANY of our remaining opponents.
Hey, 14-2 is a reach. Winning against SD, Chicago, and the rest are within the realm of possibility.

Re: Cards Shocking Da Bears..
I have to call my boy AV out on this one. He had dogged Matt per draft. I am a west cost guy and have seen him do his thing, he does not have a rocket arm, just knows how to play. One game is not a QB make but he does look like he's going to make as a NFL QB.

Green's post game press conference can be found here.
Be advised there's some language in that thing.

Re: Cards Shocking Da Bears..
Following Warner and now Leinart from his SC days, I've kind of adopted the Cardinals into my weekly football watching. This is train wreck bad though. I don't even have a vested interest in that team and it was very depressing to see such an excited and deserving bunch of players like Boldin and Leinart lose that game. As bad as the Rams have been at times, I don't think it's ever been Cardinals bad. When the Rams were bad, they were just bad. The Cardinals seem to have potential and/or talent but still manage to lose.
A lot of their problems come from the top and work their way down, but as much as I don't like Dennis Green, he's been making moves to try and improve things. Benched the center and got a pretty good performance out of the o-line on MNF vs. the best D in the league. Pass blocking anyway. Feeding James' ego and him the ball was a mistake in my opinion. They were clearly playing not to lose in the second half and obviously don't know how to finish a game.

Re: Cards Shocking Da Bears..
Why did I have the feeling Arizona would live up to the mantra "same old Cardinals"? Lienart looked nothing like I thought he would. He was poised, made quick decisions and showed a lot of confidence (especially in his "Howard Dean" screaming moments). He also benefited from the best protection a Cardinal OL has provided this season. The problem is, he still plays for the Cardinals so he better get used to what he went through tonight.
A meltdown of epic proportions. Who else but the Cardinals could be embarrassed despite nearly beating the best team in football?

Re: Cards Shocking Da Bears..
That's the Cardinals I know, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. There O-Line stinks at run blocking. Edge averaged less than 2 yrds per carry. He had to know what he was doing in coming to AZ, trading success for money.
