Cards Sign Former Panthers CB Richard Marshall
Another nice young player goes to a division rival according to Adam Shefter's twitter.
Richard Marshall had a really good season in 2009 when he racked up 88 tackles and 4 interceptions from the cornerback spot.
He has good speed and overall athleticism but the main knocks on him is his relatively short arms which makes it harder for him to compete for balls with bigger receivers.
On paper this makes the Cards corner positions once again a strength but that remains to be seen.

Well they just lost DRC in the trade with the Eagles. I don't really think Marshall exactly an improvement over him so I'm not concerned.

He's not an improvement over DRC, but probably represents an improvement over Greg Toler, who likely would have replaced DRC had Marshall not been signed.
