Dolphins receiver Chad Johnson was arrested for domestic violence Saturday night in Miami, according to a report from the South Florida Sun Sentinel.
Davie Police Department captain Dale Engle told the paper that he wasn't sure of the extent of the incident.
According to a newspaper's source, the incident occurred in a vehicle when Johnson allegedly head-butted his new wife, Evelyn Lazado, in the middle of an argument. When police arrived, she apparently had lacerations on her forehead. Johnson was then arrested. The Palm Beach Post is reporting that the fight started over a receipt for a box of condoms.
NFL.com writes that Johnson told police the two accidently knocked heads.
The newly-married Johnson is coming off an irrelevant performance in the team's first preseason game, dropping the only pass intended for him. In the first episode of Hard Knocks that ran last week, Johnson joked to a team official that he was going to get arrested on his day off.
Throughout his pro career, Johnson has stayed out of legal trouble.

Got into a fight with his new wife and then got arrested? I guess the honeymoon is over.
