Chad Mucho Stupido
So Chad Johnson has legally changed his name to Chad Ocho Cinco.
Yep.... that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
Maybe I should change my name too.
From now on, I will be known as El Grande Capitan Mas Bonito AvengerRam Del Mucho Gusto!
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Chad Mucho Stupido
What's the big deal? It's only a name change. He's going to make millions of dollars selling jerseys, get a load of attention, and be known as one of the most outragous playes in the NFL. It doesn't change the way he plays football at all.

Re: Chad Mucho Stupido
Right. Whatever sells is fine.

Never mind the fact that "Ocho Cinco" doesn't even mean "Eighty Five," it means "Eight Five." Ochenta y Cinco, I believe, is the correct way of saying "Eighty Five."
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Chad Mucho Stupido
Again, what's your point?
You don't think he doesn't know that? He'll refer to himself as 8. 5. from time to time. He calls himself a lot of different things. How would Ochenta y Cinco look on the back of a jersey? Stupid as anything. What do you have against a man trying to make some extra money, he's exploiting a market that lets him.
I do find it funny that you said "Never mind the point that..." and never listed any points after. Which means ignore your only valid point.

Re: Chad Mucho Stupido
It's stupid for a number of reasons. First of all, it sounds stupid.
"Introducing Wide Reciever Chad Jovan Ocho Cinco" sounds really, really dumb. If you're going to *pick* your name, pick something that doesn't sound like you're the world's biggest attention *****.
Here's another reason: He's already a "me me me me me me" type of player, now he's just made it even more obvious. First there was the circus with him not wanting to play for the Bengals anymore, now he's changing his name and it really comes across as him changing it simply so he gets some extra attention. After all, outside of Bengals Country no one really talks about Chad Johnson (sorry, still calling him that) because his team doesn't do anything. Just like outside of Rams Country no one really talks about Torry Holt unless they're at a game involving him. Difference? Holt has yet to officially change his last name to "Big Game."
Third. As far as developing money...I'm not really certain this works. I can see alot of people keeping their old jerseys, because why should they go out and buy a new one for the same exact player, just because he decided his last name needed to be the same as the number on the back of his jersey? I wouldn't bother myself and this is a reciever I used to like.
Oh and for the record. If Torry Holt changed his name to Tory Big Game I wouldn't do it then either.
Same thing if Bulger changed his name to Marc Laser.

Re: Chad Mucho Stupido
Because there are fans that are every bit as dumb as Chad Johnson (I too refuse to call him ocho cinco).why should they go out and buy a new one for the same exact player,Archer, I don't think AV is saying it's a big deal. Because, as you said, it's not a big deal at all. However, even small deals.....the tiniest of deals.......can still be as dumb as a hippy at a gun show.

Re: Chad Mucho Stupido
Um... that's its moronic? I thought that was clear.
I'm not sure he knows what 8+5 is. Have you ever heard him speak? You don't think he doesn't know that?
You mean, stupid as "Ocho Cinco"?He'll refer to himself as 8. 5. from time to time. He calls himself a lot of different things. How would Ochenta y Cinco look on the back of a jersey? Stupid as anything.
This may come as a shock to you, but there's more to life than doing anything and everything to make as much money as possible. What do you have against a man trying to make some extra money, he's exploiting a market that lets him.
Okay... I have no idea what you were trying to say there.I do find it funny that you said "Never mind the point that..." and never listed any points after. Which means ignore your only valid point.

Re: Chad Mucho Stupido
I'm just waiting for him to get traded to a team that already has an 85. I'd love to see him out there with "Ocho Cinco" printed above say the number 88.
