Chargers Shopping Edwards And Others
The Chargers are reportedly shopping LB Donnie Edwards.
It takes a lot to make Chargers fans mad, but this on top of Drew Brees would do it. Safety Hank Milligan and safety Sammy Davis are also reportedly on the trade market, which means they are all at risk to get cut after June 1st.
I would love Edwards or Sammy Davis,It will be interesting to see if the Rams seriously look at anyone who gets cut on June 1st

I agree. Both guys are gamers, especially Edwards who had a monster 2005.

Take a look at them if they get cut. Not sure I'd trade for them though.

Re: Chargers Shopping Edwards And Others
Edwards is an 11 year veteran, and a very effective one with arguably his best season in 2005.

Chargers send Davis to ***** for Woods
April 12, 2006
SAN DIEGO (AP) -- The Chargers and San Francisco ***** swapped disappointing former first-round draft picks on Wednesday, with San Diego getting wide receiver Rashaun Woods in exchange for cornerback Sammy Davis.
Woods was a huge disappointment for the *****, who chose him with the 31st pick in the 2004 draft. He set records at Oklahoma State, but never earned even a minor spot in San Francisco's receiving corps, one of the NFL's weakest in the last two years.
Woods caught just seven passes for 160 yards as a rookie, and new coach Mike Nolan apparently saw him as a prime example of the questionable personnel decisions that got Terry Donahue fired as general manager.
Woods was nearly cut in training camp last season -- surviving only because of the salary-cap hit -- and then placed on injured reserve with a minor thumb problem.
Davis was the 30th pick overall in 2003 and never distinguished himself. He started all 16 games in 2003, when the Chargers were an NFL-worst 4-12. He lost his starting job in 2004, reclaimed it when his replacement, Drayton Florence got hurt, but then got hurt himself and missed the rest of the year.
Florence beat out Davis before last season.
Davis started 30 of 44 games with the Chargers and had three interceptions.
Another receiver leaves the *****.

The Niners have to be looking to draft a receiver in the 2nd round now right? And they desperately need Vernon Davis as well now.

Re: Chargers Shopping Edwards And Others
I doubt they'd take Davis in the first AND a receiver in the second. I think Davis is a lock if he's there, but they should address another position in the second, maybe a linebacker.

Isn't edwards like 32? Hold on lemme check. Yeah he is 33. I would be happy signing him to a 1 or 2 year contract with the base on the low side and a larger signing bonus.
