Safety Corey Chavous is expected to visit with the Rams

St. Louis got burned by signing aging veteran defenders last season and appear to be taking the same approach this time around.

Will Witherspoon is expected to visit with the Rams.

With Ryan Pickett and Adam Archuleta leaving, the Rams are re-making their defense. A solid starter, Witherspoon could wind up being one of the most overpaid players of the offseason.

The trouble is it's going to be hard not to go with an aging veteran at safety. There is Hope, and there's Will Demps, and our own Archuleta, but after that we're looking at guys like Milloy (32), Chavous (30), and Schulters (31).

Chavous is there to start if need be, but the Rams have Carter and Atogwe and will draft another safety on the first day

There is Tank Williams he is only 25 but has had some injury problems in his short career but is very productive,I would like to see some interest shown in him by the Rams

Witherspoon won't be overpaid. He is one of the most dominating LBs right now and he isn't even in his prime yet. It will be a good signing and if we sign Chavous it will be a good signing even though I'd like us to sign Chris Hope.

Chris Hope is just another Kim Herring,I hope we dont try get him because just like Herring he is coming off a SB winning team and people overrate him because of that and in my opinion he will underachieve just like Kim did

I'd like to see the Rams go after a safety in the draft. A guy like Michael Huff or a Roman Harper will be fine.

I say Harper because he offers great value in the third. You dont have to use a high pick on him, but you cant get some great production.

Dont be a hater just because Iowa couldnt beat a team that Bama demolished ;-)

OMG. Iowa could have beat Flordia if the Refs weren't on Iowa's case the whole game. And Iowa could beat Alabama too. I bet it. You may not think so and some others don't but I do.
