Cheerleaders
I counted about 8 teams that don't have cheerleaders. Am I right and which teams are they?

Re: Cheerleaders
I'm sure there is no disrespect with noticing teams with no cheerleaders. I always remember cheerleaders on all the flag and pop warner teams I've played on, not to mention high school and college.

Re: Cheerleaders
Why don't those teams have cheerleaders? Is it weather-related (too cold?), not politically correct enough, sexist, the teams are too cheap, or what?
I always thought that football and cheerleaders went together like bacon and eggs. When a team is behind, the cheerleaders can sometimes help get the crowd into it, and thus the players get that 'extra push' that may help change the outcome of the game. As Rams fans, we know what a difference the enthusiasm of the crowd can make. I think the cheerleaders are an integral part of the team's success.

Re: Cheerleaders
Why don't more teams have bands and fight songs and mascots? Cheerleaders don't do a whole lot for me, but I know that you guys like them.
Personally, I wish we would get more close ups of the football players with their helmets off. I don't even know what most of them look like since they are usually all covered up.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Re: Cheerleaders
I agree....I think it would be cool to have a band section like the Redskins have, and more recognizable fan characters like we used to have in Anaheim (the melonheads, rainbow afroman, Ramgoat man, etc). Maybe a mascot, a real ram roaming the sidelines. As for the cheerleaders, well, at my age, you've seen one set of bouncing boobies in a tight low cut outfit, you've seen them all. Cheerleading to me is high school and college stuff. (yeh...I know what you're thinking before you say it....I like girls, OK?)

Re: Cheerleaders
I agree. My suggestions:I think it would be cool to have a band section like the Redskins have
1. Guns 'N' Roses - the original lineup.
2. Motley Crue
3. Twisted Sister
4. Babylon A.D.
5. Kiss
6. Van Halen - original lineup.
Just one thing - No band members are allowed to wear spandex. I'd hate for someone to get grossed out enough to hurl and then have one of the players slip and get injured....

Cheerleaders at the NFL level is about as useful as a bucket with the bottom cut out.
