Cheifs Re-Sign Leonard Pope
Not very interesting news, but worth posting for the hilarious comment that the kind people at rotoworld have attached. Enjoy!
Chiefs re-signed TE Leonard Pope.
Pope, 28 in September, made news this offseason for saving a 6-year-old boy from drowning at a pool party. Unfortunately, he's not a very good player. Pope caught 10 passes for just 76 yards in 16 games last season, also grading out very poorly as a blocker per Pro Football Focus. He'll try to win a backup job behind emerging second-year tight end Tony Moeaki.

He should make a decent career as a lifeguard in that local pool.

Re: Cheifs Re-Sign Leonard Pope
Gosh, I remember when Pope came out and people thought he'd be a monster because he could run a 4.6 forty at 6'7". Not so much, but at least he's proved himself in the pool!
Kidding aside, the saving-a-kid-from-drowning story is an awesome one. Good for him on that front!
