Clarett Informed of His Impending Releas
Broncos | Clarett Informed of His Impending Release

ESPN.com's John Clayton reports the Denver Broncos have informed rookie RB Maurice Clarett he will be released. By releasing him, the Broncos won't take any cap hit. It also appears unlikely that they would sign him to their practice squad although that remains an option if head coach Mike Shanahan is interested.

Wonder if the Rams are paying attention to this situation. I know there were some rumblings about their being interested in Clarett prior to the '04 and '05 drafts.

Jon Clayton is reporting for ESPN that both the Rams and Cowboys may be interested now.

Can You Say "lawrence Phillips", Stay Away From This Problem,we Dont Need It.
Re: Clarett Informed of His Impending Releas
Comparing Clarett to Phillips is like comparing a Bentley to a Ford Pinto.
Name me one police report where Clarett hit his girlfriend? Show me one mug shot of Clarett running down the players of a pick up football game?
You can't.

Yea, but neither one needs to be a Ram. Clarett ain't running down neighborhood football fans, but he has caused problems everywhere from Columbus, OH to Denver. I just can't him making a U-turn all of a sudden and being the low-key productive RB that we saw against Miami.
Re: Clarett Informed of His Impending Releas
I agree, he dosen't need to be a Ram. However, to lump him in with Phillips is extremely unfair.
