Well if you believe the rumors the jets are asking him to sit out and will sign him for top 5 money next year. Although i doubt they do that now that it has been outed. And im not sure this is a bad thing for the whiners, the guy seems like a disruption to the team. Maybe not signing him helped their focus as a unit.

What a bonehead! Another case of an unproven athlete at the pro-level thinking he is god. I think the commish should make him get a real job untill next years draft as punishment for not signing, then he might have a new appreciation what a blessing it is to get to play in the NFL.

Could you imagine if we had picked this guy at #2 as some suggested. He'd probably be holding out right now for #1 money! I hope the NFL sets rookie salaries like they do in the NBA in the next contract. Big signing bonuses and paydays belong to those that have proven themselves in the league, not some snot nosed kid out of college.

sad thing is he will probably end up on a good team and get more honours in the game than young guys who currently have far more integrity than it appears at this point, the crab will ever have...

Just like Hill who did very little with us is "punished" by now being on a SB contending team.

Re: Clayton: Crabtree won't sign for market price

Seems like a lose-lose situation. The ***** waste a top 10 pick. Meanwhile, if Crabtree gets drafted next year, nobody will give him that kind of money. There were already questions about his speed, and now there will be questions about whether he'll come back rusty after sitting out a year. That's all to go along with legitimate concerns about his narcissism.

If I'm a general manager, I'm not going to be real keen on volunteering to deal with the headaches, holdouts, contract disputes, and potential bad press that would come along with drafting this guy.
