Coaching Rumors
Couple of interesting tidbits from around the league the last few days...
-Sources say the Giants are fine with the soon-to-come departure of defensive coordinator Tim Lewis, because New York would then bring in Dom Capers, who before coaching the Texans for four years spent two as Tom Coughlin's D-coordinator in Jacksonville.
-The New Orleans Saints seem to be leaning toward naming former Giants offensive coordinator and Cowboys assistant head coach Sean Payton as their new head coach.
-A league official suggested that former Lions coach Steve Mariucci would be wise to follow Pete Carroll's path and coach college ball because of his coaching system and style, especially how close he gets to his players. Despite Brett Favre's agent saying Favre would be much more likely to stay with the Packers should they hire Mariucci as their next coach, it does not appear as if Green Bay even plans on interviewing him.
-A person close to the Jets seems to think that former Packers head coach Mike Sherman is a strong candidate to replace Herman Edwards in New York. The only person the Jets have interviewed is Joe Vitt, likely because of his close ties to Jets GM Terry Bradway.

Re: Coaching Rumors
Whatever happens, I do not want you guys to end up with a WCO coach or a defensive minded coach. Keep with the formula you currently have. That would let us dominate the division for a while.

To be fair, not all evil robots are killers.
