Conspiracy Theories claim the league gave a SB to the Patriots ... because of 9/11,
Some conspiracy theorists claim that the league conspired in some way to give the Patriots the SB victory against the Rams because it would be a "feel-good" response to 9/11.
I'm wondering if the same theorists are willing to go out on a limb beforehand and state that the league is going to give the Saints this year's SB as another "feel-good" story?
If those theorists know something the rest of us don't perhaps we could convince the Rams to just toss the entire season to set up for a high draft choice?
Just checking in advance if I should get the NFL Ticket again if it already is a done deal on who is going to the SB this year ...

If the Aint's win the Super Bowl this year, I will never watch an NFL game again.

You've only scratched the surface here A2. The deeper truth is there is a conglomerate of corporations from a single industry that have seeded and perpetuated the vast conspiracy theories of 9/11 and the Patriots. As you have stated yourself, if the conspiracy is true, you will not order NFL Ticket. Zig has gone as far as to state that he will never watch another NFL game, period! At the helm of this massive putrid vessel is none other than the heads of the entire cable television industry. If they can convince football fans that the NFL is rigged, then fans lose interest which translates into lost revenue for satellite television's golden goose.....NFL Ticket. If NFL Ticket loses subscribers, cable's biggest threat (satellite) dries up and blows away like a Tombstone tumbleweed.
I have revealed the truth, and if something should happen to me, you know where to look.....the true culprits, cabl......ughk.......cough.....cough....can't breath.....throat constricting.......darn you cable TV......thud!

Re: Conspiracy Theories claim the league gave a SB to the Patriots ... because of 9/11,
Wait! I think adarian is on to something. Maybe its always been fixed...
Green Bay Packers - their titles occurred at the same time that the packing industry was in labor strife.
New York Jets - as F-4s were being downed in Vietnam...
Kansas City Chiefs - the plight of the Native American was a hot topic when they won.
Baltimore Colts - The population crisis of wild mustangs was big in the news then.
Dallas Cowboys - The oil industry was destroying the old cowboy way of life.
Miami Dolphins - Two words: tuna nets.
Pittsburgh Steelers - Labor strife now focused around the steel unions.
Oakland/Los Angeles Raiders - Well, Reagan called them "Freedom Fighters"
Washington Redskins - the Native American problem back in the spotlight.
San Francisco ***** - as the world's largest gold producing nation fell into Apartheid hands, we harkened back to the days of the gold rush.
New York Giants - As cars got smaller and smaller, great sympathy went out to those extra-large people.
Denver Broncos - that mustang thing again.
St. Louis Rams - the Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep population had declined in the latter part of the 20th century.
Baltimore Ravens - as Edgar Allan Poe's family fell into financial ruin...
Tampa Bay Bucs - Um... I think a hurricane may have hit around there at some point.

Re: Conspiracy Theories claim the league gave a SB to the Patriots ... because of 9/11,
Interesting. I didn't know that. This is precisely why I enter the crucible of fandom - to become better informed.
I never would have thought the cable industry would stoop so low as to attempt to interfere with a stalwart member of the law enforcement community such as Hubi.
Now I understand why I keep losing my satellite signal every time the Time Warner truck drives through the neighborhood. I thought it odd that a dark cloud kept materializing over the truck like the cloud that followed Pigpen.
And to think I was going to blame it on Bush for not signing the Kyoto Treaty.

Re: Conspiracy Theories claim the league gave a SB to the Patriots ... because of 9/11,
Don't worry, adrian. The Saints will not even make it thru the playoffs. Why, you ask?
Simple. Certain teams in the NFL represent thier respective cities TOO well. Think about it...never mind, just let me give examples.
San Francisco....during thier reign, self-esteem and political correctness were the buzzwords. with a democrat in power, it was "OK' to support a team from a city where certain, um, 'behaviours' are considered normal.
Miami....weren't they winners during the Nixon years? Florida is popular among upper-middle-class white retirees...Nixon supporters, IOW.
Dallas....the TV show Dallas was popular then. And, wasn't our VP from Texas?
The Raiders....well, Africa, Bangladesh, and other countries were in the midst of famine. Seems like every country had some "sympathy" thing going on. America was doing fairly well. The only way to get the rest of the world to pity us was to either have a chimp in the White House, or let the raiders win the Super Bowl.
Washington....Hmmm. Stumper here. Why would anyone want them to win?
Denver....didn't they hit the top somewhere about the time John Denver died? And wasn't that the same time all the ultra-rich began hanging out in Vail?
OK, NOW I'll be serious. 98% of the people who read this thread have seen RT's evidence. At the very least, the clips he put together prove inept officiating. At worst, it shows that such illegal activities as 'fixing' games is still happening in professional sports. We all know it has happenned in the past with boxing, racing, baseball....do I need to go on? Boston is an area with a high number of well-to-do families....and money talks in politics. Add a war against the terrorists, and then a war of questionable reasons, and something indeed smells.
I believe that with the 'help' of certain people, and a large bank account as well as a few well-placed "Offers you can't refuse", it IS possible that the Pats got where they are by illegal or VERY immoral means.
As for the Saints...no, they are from a poorer, more 'southern democratic' area. They are NOT going to be thrust into a place to own the league.

Re: Conspiracy Theories claim the league gave a SB to the Patriots ... because of 9/11,
Could someone please post that computer generated audio/video of the Rams vs Pats Superbowl? The one showed all the no calls the Pats got away with during the game.
Or direct me the site.
Thank you
