    Re: Cowboys cut Owens.

Some of you may be surprised by this but talk radio here in Austin is blowing up AGAINST the Cowboys. T.O. was loved by Cowboys fans and why not? He plays hard. They are absolutely grilling Tony Romo. Romo is about as loved here as kids love brussell sprouts.

Same thing I was hearing earlier today on Sirius NFL Radio. Everyone who called in saying they didn't like the move was blasting on Romo.

Dump Holt and go after T.O.?

Now that the Cowboys cut T.O., should the Rams dump Holt and try going after T.O.? Is T.O. worth the drama he brings to a team?

no, plain and simply no, it would be going against the most important thing spags is looking for in his players and that is good character.

Under the old regime this may have happened-simply because they would have been due for a "mistake".

Under Devaney...No. This will never happen.

However, don't be shocked if Holt ends up in Dallas.

NO WAY! T.O is so overrated it isn't even funny. For an "elite" receiver he drops way more passes than he should. Not to mention he only plays when he wants to and gives up on plays.

It makes me sad that T.O and Randy Moss are going to be remembered as great receivers just because of their inflated stats. Can you imagine somebody like Jerry Rice (in his prime) playing in today's pass happy league? He would have 20,000 yards a year LOL!

    Re: Cowboys cut Owens.

Initially, I would say no. However, if you can get him for a one-year deal, why not? His cancer doesn't usually spread through the team during his first year. His first years in Philly and Dallas were ok. That being said, I think there is zero point zero chance of him coming here. First of all, I doubt he'd want to go to anyone other than an immediate contender. Secondly, Spags and Devany put the emphasis on good character guys. One of the four pillars is "team first". Does T.O. really fit that?

    Re: Cowboys cut Owens.

How could you guys not want to bring in a solid number one receiver who would instantly smooth out the transition to the WCO offense? We need football players ant TO is a football player enough said people.

6 teams - Jim Thorpe, Frtiz Pollard, & Joe Grunyon - However, they all played in the 20's when teams folded and moved around all the time; so maybe that's a little skewed. But in modern day NFL....

5 teams - Tommy McDonald (Eagles, Cowboys, Rams, Falcons, Browns) & James Lofton (Packers, Raiders, Bills, Rams, Eagles) - both were Rams at a point in their career.

4.5 teams - Warren Moon - He played for 5 teams total, but one (Edmonton Eskimos) was a CFL team.

TO is sitting at 3. Assuming he doesn't sign with the whiners or Eagles, his next team will be the 4th.
Thanks for reasearching that for me HU. I think TO could move up easily in the rankings for the most teams played on.

Deion Sanders played on 5 teams. Did you miss him?
