detectives are investigating a shooting potentially involving Marvin Harrison

ESPN and WIP radio host Anthony Gargano are reporting that detectives are investigating a shooting potentially involving Marvin Harrison. They are investigating whether Harrison was the shooter.

Harrison owns a tavern called "Playmakers" in Philadelphia. Gargano claims Harrison and a bar patron got into an altercation there. As the fight ensued, gunfire was exchanged outside with the victim reportedly shot in the hand. Harrison, who owns 25 guns, reportedly acknowledged owning the type of gun that was used in the shooting. Harrison has met with detectives multiple times, and after initially denying the gun was in the area, now admits it's his gun, but says he wasn't the shooter. Gargano is the sole source here, but this sure looks ugly. No witnesses have come forward saying Harrison was the shooter, although Gargano claims they are coming. Harrison would still be at risk of arrest even if he wasn't the shooter. No charges have been filed. May. 2 - 4:02 pm et

Remember when all the "experts" wanted to see more receivers like Harrison, off the field. They kept ignoring Torry Holt as a high character guy...Torry's only got two guns.:D

Hope Marvin is innocent. He's actually one of my favorite WR's in the NFL.

Being from Syracuse, I have been a HUGE Marvin Harrison fan. This really sucks. I sure hope it comes out that he had nothing to do with the shooting.

Man, Marvin Harrison. Never hear a peep out of the guy. I couldn't fathom him even owning a squirt gun let alone 25 actual guns.

Since when does owning guns make you a bad person? What about hunters and collector's? If I had Harrison's bank roll i'd have more than 25 I guarantee.

Yeah, I don't see what the big shock is. I'm no gun collector, but my grandpa for instance (who was in the Korean war) has over 12 rifles and he doesn't use them for anything but hunting, shooting rabbits in his garden and snapping turtles in his pond.

Just goes to show you, sometimes those that make the most noise may not be the most to worry about.

Chad Johnson for example. Flamboyant? Absolutely. Wife Beater? Nope. Arrogant? duh. Arrested for a weapons charge? Not that I know of.

I'd still take Harrison over Johnson.

At what point in this thread did anyone make that statement?

I think the general sentiment was that 25 guns is a lot of guns.

It looks like Marvin may have some problems. He lied to Police about a gun he owns and shell casings from the shooting apparently came from said gun. Of course he's innocent until proven guilty and hasn't been charged or arrested, but he seems to be digging himself into a hole.
