Do NFL Team overall rankings reallt mean all that much?
We have 8 teams left going into this weekend. The rankings for both Offense & Defense along with their respective turnover ratios.
TEAMS:
#1 Offense, #11 Defense (-4)
#2 Offense, #15 Defense (+5)
#3 Offense, #21 Defense (+7)
#4 Offense, #10 Defense (+13)
#11 Offense, #6 Defense (+8)
#15 Offense, #5 Defense (+8)
#17 Offense, #1 Defense (+17)
#19 Offense, #19 Defense (-8) and this team won their wildcard game!
St Louis Rams #6 Offense, #23 Defense (+14)
I find it interesting that the top 4 offensive teams are still alive yet the 1st, 5th and 6th ranked defensive teams are still in it.
The general rule of thumb is that defense wins the big games...Is this year going to different?

Well the #1 Ranked Defense (Ravens) is knocked out by the #3 Ranked Offense (Colts). It's looking like the Colts (Allowed 14 points in 2 playoff games) might finally get to the big dance.
