Re: Which Do You Prefer?

How about this scenario:

The Pats beat the Colts soundly, 42-17 this Sunday. They go on to be 17-0 (including one playoff win) when they meet the Colts in the AFC Championship. Everyone is hyping up the Pats to be the greatest team of all time.

The Colts learned from the first game and have a different gameplan this time around, managing to keep the score close all game. It's tied up late in the 4th when Peyton Manning takes his team down to the Pats' 40 yard line and spikes the ball with only seconds remaining. Adam Vinatieri lines up for a 57-yard field goal against his former team. Snap is down, kick is up and it falls just short - Pats win! But wait... nobody heard the referees blowing the whistle only milliseconds before the snap. Belichick had called a timeout to try to ice his former kicker! The ball is re-spotted as the celebrating Patriots players are ushered back over to the sideline. This time, Vinatieri gets it just over the crossbars as time expires, and the Pats are humiliated.

The Colts then go on to the Super Bowl where they lose to the underdog Rams, the only 8-8 team to ever make it to a Super Bowl. It goes down as the biggest upset in NFL history.

Go Rams!

Re: Which Do You Prefer?

I'll take the first scenario, but the lead will have been built up by the third quarter. Then the Colts wind up with the ball on the Patriots 1 with seconds remaining, and the Colts kneel to show the Pats how a real winner plays. Also, a Randy Moss tantrum at the end would be even better. Brady in tears; Moss screaming at him.
