According to espn, the eagles have signed sean landetta. No word on whether they are seeking a roster expemption since 53 man rosters are typically limited to players below the age of 60.

I did some research on this one and I found a couple of options the Eagles can take:

1. They can incorporate Landetta's AARP discount to reduce his cap number.
2. As well, his cap number will be greatly reduced if he signs before 5:30 pm, you know the Early Bird Contract.
3. There will be an exemption in his contract allowing for repayment if Landetta can't kick his age.

Julio Franco is still playing and he is four years older and a lot more productive than landetta. Hard to believe.
