Eagles sign landetta
According to espn, the eagles have signed sean landetta. No word on whether they are seeking a roster expemption since 53 man rosters are typically limited to players below the age of 60.

Interesting. I didn't know that. I never would have guessed that the Philly organization had archeologists on staff who knew how to recover fossilized artifacts.

I did some research on this one and I found a couple of options the Eagles can take:

2. As well, his cap number will be greatly reduced if he signs before 5:30 pm, you know the Early Bird Contract.
3. There will be an exemption in his contract allowing for repayment if Landetta can't kick his age."Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod

Instead of the normal price for the veterans minimum, do the Eagles get a senior citizen discount for his services?

Julio Franco is still playing and he is four years older and a lot more productive than landetta. Hard to believe.

Just reinforces what I've been saying for years. Why not give George Blanda a shot at making a comeback?
