If you had a choice, would you take the massive underachieving Eli Manning or the proven Bulger/Frerotte.
Im not voting but I would take Bulger because he can take advantage of the talent he has when he is healthy, something Manning just obviously can't do, healthy or not.
So Eli has a bad game Sunday and you're ready to throw him under the bus?
I would take Marc Bulger.
Marc Bulger without hesitation.
...and I'm not sure E. Manning is underachieving. More like overhyped if you ask me.
I'm not an Eli fan by any means but if you take away any QB's best WR and RB they're probably going to have a drop in production/consistancy. Eli looked pretty good earlier this year when Plaxico was healthy.
Eli's looked alright this season but I'd still take Marc :) .
He's one of the most accurate mid-range passers in the NFL.
I'd take Bulger but it's a shame that Frerotte has to be part of the package. There was no reason to get rid of Martin, who was an adaquate backup familiar with our offensive personnel. While we're at it, we should have kept Fitz also.
On another note, Manning's biggest problem was that he went to the Giants instead of a team with a coaching staff that has some understanding of developing QBs.
Eli really would've thrived in San Diego. The weapons are there. Plus Media scrutiny would've taken a considerable or maybe massive drop.
I voted for Gus it was a no BrainOR moment.
Bulger agreed a no brainer.
Maybe in a year or two Eli will be decent. Will end carrier with comfortable record, but he's no Peyton!
Eli choked against New England up by 13 and he played horrible after that.
I had to flip a coin on this one and I got Eli. What difference does it make? They all suck.
