Eli's Decision

The main reason Eli didn't want to go to San Diego is because his father and he thought it was a dead-end situation. Well, the jokes on Eli. As the Giants continue to struggle, right now getting spanked by a weak Washington team, the Chargers are well on their way to winning the AFC West. I wonder how Eli's ego is feeling considering he felt he had to demand where he was going to play. He thought the better situation was in a hostile NY city, unfortunately not. Oh well, chalk it up as young phenom and his father blowing an opportunity because they think they know everything about the parody in the NFL.

I for one am glad it's happening because I was disgusted with Eli and his fathers actions before the draft.

I guess I'm not quite sure what you mean Avenger.

*Edit* But as I posted and moved on I got it. You were meaning the Mannings. After a few beers my mind tends to move slower. LOL

Re: Eli's Decision

After thinking awhile, it's funny. The worse Eli and the Giants do, the better draft pick the Chargers get.

Re: Eli's Decision

Very nice observations Wis. I was an Eli fan while he was at Ole Miss and I was really looking forward to his days in the NFL. Imagining him going to SD was a double plus for me since I don't really have a local team to follow but after his draft day crap all bets were off.

I never liked Elway mainly because of the same thing. Jeff George too. Eli's struggles and irony won't last forever but I too, am enjoying it for now.

Re: Eli's Decision

I agree the struggles won't last forever, Eli's best days are ahead of him..but to be a bug on the wall in the Manning house as they watch ESPN Primetime and see the Chargers winning another one, thus gaining a two-game lead in their division.

Re: Eli's Decision

I agree with everything said thus far. The stunt Eli and Archie pulled, saying he wouldn't go to San Diego, really made me dislike the guy, and it's funny now to watch the Chargers hit 9-3 and take control of their division while the Giants have fallen to 5-7 without a first round pick to help them.

Re: Eli's Decision

I think Eli and Archie's bullcrap was a blessing in disguise for the Chargers. not only are they probably heading to the playoffs, but they are going to get a high 1st round pick in the process because Coughlin wanted to jump the gun and start Manning sooner than he needed to.

let's face it, the Giants were in the playoff hunt before Warner was benched and now they are sinking like the Titanic.

Re: Eli's Decision

okay Nick, technically they are in the playoff hunt, but if Eli can't move his team downfield against Washington, how do you think he's going to get them in the playoffs?

that game he played today was pathetic. good move Chargers. you don't want him anyways.

hint, sign the QB you have running the show now. forget the Rivers experiment that you have planned. QB's usually don't show their stuff until their 3rd year most of the time, and Brees has done just that. don't give up on him now.

Re: Eli's Decision

All I was saying was that at 5-7, they're still very much in the hunt for a wild card spot. I'm not saying it's going to happen, just saying it still could. The NFC is so poor this year, it has prolonged the hopes of fans whose teams have below average records.

It was pretty evident that KW was going to beat the 'cons and beagles all by himself too.

Especially since he looked so good against the lions and cards as he was 4-1 before going 5-4 and you yank him when he was on a roll:upset: How could you do that? He really was going to blister the secondaries of the 'cons and beagles too. Thank you Mr. Coughlin, for benching KW as you helped us tremendously in our bid to earn a playoff spot. Is sMartz a godfather of one of your children?

BTW, KW would have done a lot better than Favre did this pm.

Thanks Tom for all your help

On a lighter note, Nick is that a new Signature Pic on your CP?

What a sad statement on the mediocrity of the NFC.
