This is great news for football as an entire league and sport. It'll be interesting to see how many times he's sacked this season now that two of his starting offensive lineman have vanished. Come October, I imagine Favre will be longing for the days of being sacked only 12 times all season.
This also gives the Packers at least one more year to twiddle their thumbs and avoid finding a successor to Favre.
