    Favorite football names?

Past and present, what are yours?

One of my favorites has to be the best name ever for a quarterback: Chuck Long. I don't know much about his real world NFL career, but on Tecmo Super Bowl, I loved putting him in when I needed a last second long ball. He lofts it perfectly for Henry to make a jump catch.

I thought Mack Strong had the best football name ever. But he retired, so as a close second I nominate "Stylez G. White" from the Bucs.

How about Tom Mack. With that name, he was born to be an O lineman. Kind of like naming your child Jeeves. You know he's going to grow up to be a butler.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Vikes backup Center in the early 70's ........ Godfrey Zaunbrecher.
If they started a football team at Hogwarts, the head coach would be Godfrey Zaunbrecher.

Worst football name ever: Chad Ochocinco
What happens to him when he winds up on a team that already has an 85? Does he change his name again? And nevermind that "Ochocinco" does not translate to "Eighty-five". Way to go, numbnuts.

I haven't seen Hard Knocks, but I heard that Ochocinco's "catch phrase" was 'Child, please.' Or, he says it a lot. Don't think cfh meant it as an insult.

It is hilarious that Ocho spent all that time to be allowed to change his name, then forgets to put a freakin' space in between the numbers.

How about Super Duper? Another silly, legal name change (formerly Mark).

Reggie Corner is another fitting name for a CB.
