I'm looking for owners to adopt two teams that I have available in a keeper league that I run. The teams are already drafted but I've had two last minute dropouts(D'oh!).
This is a money league and there is a $30 entry fee. Payouts are: 1st: $200, 2nd $60 and 3rd $30. It's a head to head, 12 team league with no divisions(best 6 teams go to the playoffs. Period.). Each roster has 14 players with 1 IR spot available to players under 2+ year contract. Playoffs are weeks 14-16 of the NFL season. Points are fractional so ties are pretty rare. The league's been around since 2004 so we're off to a decent start in terms of longevity. Most of the owners know each other through the internet so there aren't any cliques or anything like that. Fair play is essential as is dedication. The keeper system is based on Contract Years that are assigned to drafted players each year. Each owner has a cap of 20 CY's to distribute amongst his players with a max of 5 for any one player. You don't have to assign each player CY's, only the one's you want to "keep". Any player not under contract goes back into the next year's draft. Once you assign CY's to a player that's all they get. Once their contract runs out, he goes back into the draft. You're allowed to draft him again though if he's available. You're allowed to drop a player under contract but are responsible for the terms of his contract either way. GM responsibilities are designed to be important. There are plenty of nuances that take a little getting used to but it's not overly complex. Each team starts 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 PK, 1 DEF.
