    Fitzgerald ?

I just heard on the Sunday Night pregame show that Larry Fitzgerald is not long for the Cardinals, would you give up the 2011 #1 pick for a proven pro bowl receiver or draft one and wait for him to learn ?

    Re: Fitzgerald ?

Fitzgerald is a fairly young 27 and there is a chance that neither Green nor Jones will be available when the Rams are picking 1st.

    I'd make that trade.

Heck yes, and I'm sure any team needing a WR would trade their #1 for Fitz as well, BUT they'll never trade him to a division rival for the going rate, if at all. They'd want that #1, plus another pick probably to go to the niners, hawks or us.

Depends on what picks/players we have to give up. If we have to trade in more than our 1st round pick. Then I'll stick with drafting a #1 WR or a 2nd round pick for Sidney Rice because his injuries should devalue him.

We're not introducing another injury-prone wideout into this environment. Nothing good can come out of it.

    Re: Fitzgerald ?

It depends on how high we end up picking. I have a feeling that we won't be able to get him with the 32nd overall pick alone

In all seriousness, I think that we'd be lucky to get our hands on him, but I think the coaching staff will want to draft their own player. If we can get him for something like a late first, or a second and a player, or a 2012 selection, I'd say go for it.

    Re: Fitzgerald ?

Not just proven talent but proven elite talent if you ask me + the fact we won't pick high enough for Green = an almost no brainier.

I say almost because I would want to make sure a long term deal could be worked out first. Fitzgerald has only 2 years left on his contract and I wouldn't want to burn a 1st rounder just to end up back in need in 2 years.

All that said I seriously doubt the Cardinals would trade him inside the division if they trade him at all.

    Re: Fitzgerald ?

They'll want a Herschel Walker trade type scenario if we want to make negotiations. Though I'd like have revenge against the Cards for torching us with Kurt Warner, Fitz does seem like the leader of the Cards and for him to just want to leave seems like he's showing signs that LeBron James attitude. I mean Steven Jackson has went through 3 disappointing seasons yet he's more driven to see this team just have a winning season rather than break rushing records. Even though I view Fitz as a demon in our division, he should at least try learning a thing or two about leadership from Jackson because compared to what Jackson went through, Fitz will deal with less troubles.
BTW can you find an article for me about this report on him?

Fitzgerald doesn't seem the same after his injuries, earlier this year! Make sure to kick the tires before settling for damaged goods!

Does anyone really think Arizona would trade him within the division?

Most likely not, but Philly had a franchise QB that they traded to Washington last off season. Heated division rivals in the East. I'm sure Arizona has a price for Fitz!

You are kidding, right? In the past 4 weeks, he's got 26 catches, 360 yards, and 3 TDs........with Derek Anderson launching most passes 3 feet above his head.

He's missed 4 games in his entire 7 year career. I wish our players could be that "injury prone".

I think PeoriaRam was talking about Sidney Rice being injury prone. Early he posted he was in favor of the trade.

Philly also had a QB(Kolb) that they knew could take over McNabbs position as a franchise QB. What they didnt know is that they had another franchise player in vick. Regardless I doubt that the cards trade him in the division.
