Forget about the packers guards, both signed
The packers lost both guards, one to carolina one to dallas. Would have been great to have one of them, but i think defense is still our bigger priority.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, does anyone else think that we might have had a legit shot at one of these guys if pace was signed long term. This is an example of where the cap money might have gone.

I'll roll the dice at guard with Sapaia or a rookie if it means signing more defensive talent.

I honestly think all we need on the offensive line is a tackle and we can get that in the draft. I think Tercero or Saipaia will be more than adequate at guard next to Pace.
I'm all for signing all free agents on the defensive side of the ball.

This is a killer for the Pack, as good as Favre and Green are, that line is what has made the Pack offense for years, I would rate their running system and OL just behind the Chiefs and Broncos in the NFL.

Is Tom Nutten returning this year at Guard? :O
He was really banged up in 04, played his heart out but was mostly running on empty.

I can't imagine this pushing Favre in the direction of coming back. This, combiend with Sharper's immenent release, looks like the tactics of a team entering rebuilding mode. I wonder if they'll be rebuilding at QB as well?
