We'd like to send out a shout and a hearty "f--k you" to ESPN's Chris Mortensen for using without attribution our story regarding the fight that occurred between Saints quarterback Aaron Brooks and defensive end Charles Grant.

Mort reported the news at 8:11 p.m. EDT on ESPN's Monday night guffaw-fest, almost eight hours after the story broke here.

None this crap surprises us anymore. But it's still disappointing coming from so-called professionals whom we (used to) respect.

If Clinton can steal a piece from someone other than his wife and we dismiss it, and Bush can steal some work time from his boss and we dismiss it, and Lay can steal the future from his employees and we dismiss it, why shouldn't more journalists think they can steal an idea and we won't dismiss it?
