Furrey remains at Lions

Mike Furrey has signed a 3 year deal to stay with the Lions.I wonder if this will mean that they won't pursue Kevin Curtis..:l

Nope, it won't affect it at all. Furrey is actually more of a slot-type receiver and K. Curtis would be signed to play the #2 spot to counter-balance Roy Williams. Expect the Lions, or some other team for that matter, to make a strong push for Curtis.

WHAT SAY YE?

Re: Furrey remains at Lions

From ESPN...

Quote:
The wide receiver agreed to terms on a three-year deal with the Lions on Wednesday. Sources told ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli that the total value of the contract is slightly in excess of $9 million and Furrey received a $4 million signing bonus.
The contract is actually significantly lower in total value than what we gave Bruce this spring (three years, $15 million), but perhaps more on par with what Keyshawn Johnson got from Carolina last year. Either way, those figures aren't the kind that would discourage the Lions from looking at a guy like Curtis, IMO.

Re: Furrey remains at Lions

its a fairly good deal for the lions, because they didnt get caught up in the fact that furrey had a good season and over pay him
