At least their team's name starts with "Ra" and ends with an "s". The Whiners finally lost a Super Bowl.
Whew....man, I really thought I'd jinxed the whole thing. It's my birthday.....my 49th birthday. Last time the SB fell on my birthday, iirc, was the loss to The Pats. Doesn't make up for it, of course, but it's a sweet consolation. And it had everything you could want in a defeat of a hated rival; a thorough spanking early on & then a classic heartbreaking shortfallen comeback with a lovely dash of bad call salt in the wound to make it really sting.
I can't stop smiling....
almost guessed the freaking score...
35-31 ravens...so close!
still might win the pair of shoes with that guess though, it was the closest
a guy had 34-31 but he picked the niners
hope i win lol
Didn't think the Raven's offense could get the job done but darn I am so glad to be wrong

i guess i told them on facebook tonight
On a side note. (Super Bowl related)
When I came to St Louis in 2000 I watched the players walk across from The Drury Inn to enter the stadium pre-game. One of the players I saw was very unassuming, had time for fans, even when they mistook him for another higher profile player (!)
At the time I thought what a decent person. Most of the high profile players, such as Ike Bruce, O-Pace, #13, Todd Lyght, Keith Lyle, et al were more aloof walking straight by.
This player had a great smile and essence, as he walked off into the stadium.
His name?. . . . . . . O.J. Brigance.
I was unaware of his situation until I saw him last night in his wheel chair. It left me utterly speechless. As a former Ram, I wish him all the very best and his family.
How terrible.
That game was becoming a nail-biter. Just to see the Whiners slowly creeping back up in the game after the power outage had me on the edge. I was so relieved after that final drive. Some people are saying a pass interference should have been called. Whether it was or not, I'm glad it wasn't ;). Thank you Ravens for not allowing a nightmare to come true.
Live by the sword, etc, etc.......
