hass out 2-4 weeks
seahawks boards, quoting some seahawks radio etc, says 2-4 weeks, a sprain.
That means its up in the air as to whether he is back for the rams game in three weeks. I dont see them winning at arrowhead without hass. I think they beat oakland without him. Then comes the rams, followed by sanfran.
Worst case, i think they go 2-2 without him. This is when you find out whether you did the right thing with your backup qb.

Re: hass out 2-4 weeks
Other than the injury itself (hate to see anyone get hurt in a game), what irks me the most about this is that no matter what happens from here on out....the Seahawks have all sorts of built-in excuses. If they don't win another game, miss the playoffs, lose the division, whatever the case, there will be an endless chorus of "If Hass were healthy" or "If SA were healthy".
"Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod

Re: hass out 2-4 weeks
When the season is over that would be music to my ears. That would mean we are back on top. Every team will lose players as the season wears on. Like GC said, how well did their FO prepare for this. Last year we started a rookie, this year we brought in a vet that knows the system. What did the Hags do? If your QB does not miss a game or two you are one of the fortunate ones for sure.there will be an endless chorus of "If Hass were healthy" or "If SA were healthy".

Re: hass out 2-4 weeks
Tough break for the Seahawks, but that's football. I don't remember them feeling sorry for us when we had all our problems last year. Besides, their problems this year are on defense, and Hasselbeck or Alexander wouldn't be able to help that situation.

Here's an article:
Sounds like it is unlikely he will play against the Rams in three weeks.
Update on Hasselbeck: He's out a month with injured knee ligament
By Danny O'Neil
Seattle Times staff reporter
Tests confirmed Matt Hasselbeck has suffered an injury to his knee ligament, the NFL Network reported this morning, and the quarterback is expected to miss about a month to recover.
Coach Mike Holmgren has a news conference scheduled for 2:15 this afternoon and will address Hasselbeck's status then.
Hasselbeck was injured on the Seahawks' first possession of the second half on Sunday against Minnesota. Minnesota linebacker E.J. Henderson struck Hasselbeck after he had released a pass that ended up incomplete. Hasselbeck suffered the injury to his medial-collateral ligament (MCL). He did not return to the game. Seneca Wallace, the backup quarterback, replaced Hasselbeck and is expected to step into the starting role in Hasselbeck's absence.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

NFL Network 2-4 weeks, I think a month would be better you don't want to rush these things.

Re: hass out 2-4 weeks
Seattle is going to have him ready for that Rams game......Hass is such a competitor and it will be a big game. I'm counting on him playing us.

Re: Hasselbeck out 2-4 weeks
Although the Rams are needing injuries to MVP Shaun Alexander, and Pro bowler Hasselbeck, to contend for the NFC west and hopefully win the division, injuries are part of the game. All teams havta deal with them, and the injuried might be part of the superbowl hangover the seahawks will finally endure. GO RAMS

Re: Hasselbeck out 2-4 weeks
Well, us UK viewers had the pleasure of watching the Viks/Seaslags game last night, and although it was constantly mentioned, Seattle's main issue and the weakness was starting to show was not merely losing Alexander, and now looks like Hasselbeck, them as you mention are Injuries, the biggest loss, and it was evident to see was losing Steve Hutchinson,
