Helluva Game Colts/Steelers
I'll tell you what, that was a crazy game and I thought the Steelers took control and then the Colts came back and we were all sitting on the edge of our seats, especially the last 5 minutes of the game and neither team gave up, awesome game but you know what???? I'd hate to be Vanderjagt right now, DAYUM!!!!

Re: Helluva Game Colts/Steelers
Good game...great ending...Manning's "stupid kicker" blew that one. It was not even close. However, this game told me one thing, and it was more clear than ever; defense wins games. No matter how prolific the offense is, a good defense will shut them down and win everytime...This makes me want to go with a defensive coach, now, more than ever...

It is me only or the umps have been the most decisive part of the game lately? (intentional grounding against us, td that was not for tampa, taylor spit, this int . . . etc etc etc)
Man I hate both teams, the steelers for SB XIV, and the cholts because the media attention the have the whole damn season, and because manning just CAN:T WIN AN IMPORTANT PLAYOFF GAME!
GO DENVER!

Great game indeed, RGirl! :football:
That Vanderjagt kicker, too much like Vinateri: they're both so very good but, somehow, they're also players you love to hate.
Bettis' fumble was unbelievable; right call though, IMO. It certainly made for a great and exciting ending.
And thus is how an NFL team that goes undefeated for 100 games in a row can end their season.

Re: Helluva Game Colts/Steelers
He sure is, just ask every Steeler player and coach who went over after the fumble to give him a pat and an encouraging word. Bettis is the heart and soul of the Steelers and his team knows it, appreciates it and feeds off of it.

That's the reason I call them the stealers. I believe they had some "outside the lines" involvement in him leaving. Didn't his primary blocker go to the stealers the year before? And I don't care what anyone one says, he flat out quit on the RAMS because he was pissed about the move to St Louis. I remember the articles about there being nothing to do in St Louis. No beaches, and no night-life. Then he goes to Pittsburg????? Lots of beaches there.

Re: Helluva Game Colts/Steelers
The blown interception call was pretty bad. The game would have been different if they would have let him keep his catch.
Cowher played way too conservative an offense in the second half. So many running plays. I have to wonder if Ben was hurt after that hit he took or if Cowher just turned conservative and tried to run the clock down.
I can't believe Bettis fumbled the ball in the last couple of minutes. It sure made for an interesting end to the game.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
