Hip injury ends Frank Gore's season

NFL Network's Jason La Canfora is reporting that Frank Gore will miss the remainder of the season with a hip injury.

This one comes out of nowhere, as Gore was able to return to the game for a carry before leaving for good and coach Mike Singletary gave no indication that the injury was serious. We'd wait for team confirmation before we cut Gore in non-keeper leagues, but this news further solidifies Brian Westbrook's spot atop the waiver wire. Touchdown heavy leaguers should consider adding Anthony Dixon as well.

Guess the Whiners won the battle, but lost the Gore.

Shame for Gore..but atleast it will give himself some time to concentrate and progress from sitting on the floor playing with building blocks.

Westbrook on fresh legs is more scary to me than Gore. The whiners won't skip a beat with Gore out....unless Westbrook gets another concussion that is.
