Not only that, why would Ike want to go to an offense that will be in full retool mode with Alex Smith leading the way? It just doesn't make sense to end a career in a situation that could be very frustrating. Martz is a great offensive mind, but it will take time and patience to turn things around with the disaster the whiners have right now.

So I hear he will be taking over the Offense at SanFran. He stated that he would like to run with gore a lot esp since the offensive line is solid. You guys think that sanfran will be a little bit ofthreat next year since they have martz running the offense?

This is debateable Tx. They started to turn the corner on defense, but offensively they have a long way to go, even with Martz. IMO the Rams are much closer to being good than the whiners are.

It doesn't seem that SF has the personnel to run a Martz system. No receivers worth mentioning, an OL that will be so-so without Allen next year, and a QB who still hasn't proven himself and looks to be a bust. Running Gore between the tackles 25 times a game isn't exactly Martz's style.

In fact, I think the whiners brought Martz in just to try to develop Alex Smith. It seems that Martz is very good at developing QB talent, and I think they want him to help Smith along. But if Alex Smith isn't SF's QB of the future, I think their entire team is set behind a year or two because of it.
