I used to do similar workouts in college back in the early 80s by pushing around a dumpster.

I can't believe they only do the lineman stance for 45 seconds at a time. We did those in my training program and we would go up to 5 minutes. We called them wall sits but they are the same thing. You do get quite a burn out of those.
