How long will it take until the Hawks to get over this loss?
We know something about tough losses in Ram land. How long will it take the Hawk fans to get over Super Bowl XL?
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: How long will it take until the Hawks to get over this loss?
Just thinking back to how close both of our loses were,We could be 3-0 in the SuperBowl.
Some of the loses we took in the NFC Championship games still stick in my craw also.My heart beats crazy and my blood runs wild

about as long as it will take rams fans to get over sb 36, it varies
(never for me)

SB XL:
* Seattle in the "Pittsburg" territory of Detroit -- clearly.
* The Bettis bug, "it had to be" like that for the bus.
* Officiating issues, in and of themselves, a foggy obstacle. But as a factor on the scoreboard, crystal clear.
* Permanency of said issues thanks to the media and fans interaction ... yes, this is going to be a long cast shadow.
Ouch.

Re: How long will it take until the Hawks to get over this loss?
It's got to be the last option, "when the sun goes cold".
I'm still waiting for the day I get up in the morning and see #36 loss in the rear view. Hasn't happened yet, it's still on my dash board as I look out the windshield. The deeper the love for the team, the harder the loss is to get over.
Seeing Marcia throw that pick to Champ Bailey for the almost touchdown though....PRICELESS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maineram - :moon:and out of the ashes rise ...The Breakfast Club !

Love that post. I still haven't gotten over the loss to Pittsburgh, let alone the Patriots. That kinda pain never goes away, even with a Super Bowl win in-between.

I don't think you can ever get over losing a Super Bowl that involves controversy or a poor effort by your team. I know I can't. Last option applies here.

Re: How long will it take until the Hawks to get over this loss?
The last option...I would be able to accept the loos as a loss if the refs hadn't intervened and determined the game for the teams. But I will always think that the better team lost that day...still pissed, and I am sure that i will be for a long long time.

I would say the last option also, but Seattle dropped the passes, missed the FGs, had poor clock management. Sure the refs weren't great, but Seattle lost that game.

They lost that game because the refs took 14 or 21 points away from the depending on how you look at it...and gave 7 points to the Steelers...it is hard to overcome a 28 point swing. I'm gonna go away before I get irrational and accidentally get banned...

It is best not to let that irrational anger loose on a rival board. I am sorry that the game was a difficult one to watch and I am sorry that there were questionable calls, but that happens a lot.

How do you get 21 points for the Seahawks? I got the 7 for the touchdown that they took away, but what are the other 14 points for?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
