Re: I hope Warner retires
So would the Rams retire #13 if Kurt retires?

Re: I hope Warner retires
I'd rather see them retire #80 in honor of Henry Ellard and Isaac Bruce.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: I hope Warner retires
We can only hope that Bulger can learn to lead our team to some game winning drives, against tough apponents, rather than throw perfect passes to the secondary, and take the team to a SB or two.
If he does that, then people will have a reason to talk about him 5 years after he's gone.

Re: I hope Warner retires
Thats like saying you hope Bruce calls it a day as well. I say keep padding the numbers as long as they can so one day we see them both in the Hall.

Re: I hope Warner retires
Would the Rams plan on retiring the main 4 members of the GSOT? Warner, Faulk, Bruce, and Holt?
Faulk's is already done, and we are pretty sure Bruce's is coming. (I would LOVE to see the #80 jersey with BRUCE/ELLARD on the back as it's retired!)
Torry Holt was a huge part, and had a heck of a season.
And of course Kurt Warner probably had the best 3 season run of any QB.
That would be a lot of jerseys to retire though, especially if you start thinking what about Orlando Pace, and Hakim was also just as imporatant as Holt at times. And heck, where would we be without that Mike Jones tackle?
Or we could just be like the Chicago Bears and retire every jersey of a player who started every game in a sesaon, lol

Re: I hope Warner retires
How about no numbers are retired. As a Yankees fan, it is annoying when good young players come up but they all have weird numbers in the 60's and 70's. You're eventually going to run out of numbers and over time people will argue why isn't this guy's number retired, he was better than that guy and that guy's number is retired. It's all really unnecessary. Just give them a banner up in the rafters.

Re: I hope Warner retires
I was joking about the retiring of numbers, I only thing they should be retired in EXTREME situations (like Jackie Robinson or Pat Tillman), because as said, you are going to keep having great players, and eventually you will run out of the good numbers.
Anyway, looks like we could be facing Warner for a bit longer. I'm hearing a 2 year deal is very likely for him.
They could be down Boldin and Edge though next year... although the Cards did just fine without them this year. I think if we just put 4 people on Fitzgerald we'll be able to contain him, lol.
We should probably focus on getting our team better though, and not on other teams getting worse. If we do out part, the rest will take care of itself.
