If you had to pick a 2nd favorite

The RAMS rule, and will always be the greatest team in the NFL! But, just out of curiosity, since we did the most hated team. If you HAD to choose a 2nd favorite, who would it be? For me I would have to say the Ravens.

A win for the whiners/gnats is a win for those funny people in the bay. A loss for the whiner/gnats is a win for the free world!

My #2 NFL team would have to be the Bolts, I suppose.

Re: If you had to pick a 2nd favorite

My second favorite would be as of now: The Jacksonville Jaguars. I think they're a legit hard hitting football team. They can run the ball, play some damn good D and they also have an excellent coach. I remember when Jack Del Rio said Leftwich would not be starting over Garrard, that took balls regardless if Del Rio and Leftwich weren't on the same page. I thought it was quite commendable of Del Rio having faith in a 2nd day draft pick who turned out to be one hell of a quarterback. He's a powerful guy who can run the ball and throw it quite accurately. One thing that impressed me was how much of a class act he is. He speaks well, and genuinely seems like a good man. But overall, that franchise just seems to be on the rise and I like the fact that they're consistenly under the radar. Just, very very cool to me. I've always been a fan of Del Rio, he's a smart coach who will take that team far like he did last year. So when my Rams aren't playing the Jags, I'll root for 'em!

Re: If you had to pick a 2nd favorite

I used to live in Jacksonville Florida since my dad was a marine and stationed there.

I always liked their heart, and the colors. That would be my choice. the Jags.

Re: If you had to pick a 2nd favorite

As a life-long citizen of the Show-Me State (with the exception of my time a-learnin' in Arkansas. Go Bison!), my #2 team would have to be the Chiefs. As long as their success does not interfere with the Rams, I cheer for the Chiefs.

As an homage to my childhood, though, I have a soft spot for the Steelers. When I was introduced to football, the Steelers were on top of the world. Those '78 Steelers were my baptism into football. Twelve All-Pros, the greatest coach on the planet, the coolest uniforms ever known........they were my team. Fortunately, I outgrew it. lol

Re: If you had to pick a 2nd favorite

As of right now and recently, the Cardinals. Obviously because of Warner but secondarily for Fitzgerald and Boldin. I guess I'm just wired to root for an underdog.

In general though, I don't have a real hatred of many teams so I guess I can watch just about any team and get some enjoyment out of it. Rooting against New England is fun though and I was ready to poke my eyes out watching the re-air of Tennessee vs. Atlanta the other day on NFL Network. How the h e l l was that one of the top 5 games of that week?

I'm also going to have to go with the Jags. I just dig their style of football.

New York Giants.

After watching them play in London, and then to see them go on and win the Super Bowl, they're definately a firm favourite at no. 2.

Really??

I guess that means you will really be a Rams cheerleader this year *LOL* . Positive thoughts and not being so critical...the Rams will be the one of the biggest underdogs of the year.

uhhh....uhhhh.....

University of Texas Longhorns. I can't give loyalty to two NFL teams. My alma mater Memphis really doesn't put football as a top priority and living here in Austin I'm flabbergasted by the elaborate tail gating that goes on before the games.

This year? I can't think of too many instances in the last 28 years when the Rams weren't an underdog. Having an underdog that bites it's owner is what they've become to me in the last 5 years.

Re: If you had to pick a 2nd favorite

I try to keep up with all the NFL teams and don't have a favorite besides the Rams. Some teams I respect and enjoy watching are the Ravens, Jaguars, and Texans.

After years of being apathetic about the Huskers, I am a full-fledged blackshirt now that Bo Pelini is on board as head coach. He's been my favorite coach in all of football since being Nebraska's DC in 2003. Go Huskers!!!

Re: If you had to pick a 2nd favorite

I'm pretty much all Rams, then I have teams I like, don't mind, and those I really, really don't like.

I like how the Jags play football, still got some old skool smashmouth going over there. It's a shame their fanbase is so weak.
I've liked Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin since they played college ball, and I always keep up with Warner, so I root for the Cards whenever they don't play us.
I was a HUGE Giants fan this past Super Bowl, but I think we all know why
