It's not over yet for Belichick and Patriots
sourceNFL commissioner Roger Goodell has ordered the New England Patriots to turn over all videotape, files and notes relating to all their activity that resulted in the disciplinary action of coach Bill Belichick and the franchise, according to sources familiar with the details of Goodell's private communication with the team.
If the Patriots are not compliant, the commissioner is prepared to impose even greater sanctions, the sources said.
The action is being taken because Belichick all but conceded to the commissioner that his interpretation of the rules allowed him to use videotape of opposing team hand signals for future games but not on game day, sources said.
If Goodell discovers that Belichick and the team has copied the files without disclosure to the NFL, the consequences will be significant, sources said.
Looks like the continued arrogance of Belicheat is finding him more trouble ahead. All I have to say is, what took so long for anybody to bring this cheating to light... ?

Belichick's "playing stupid" act is rediculous. What is so hard to understand about NO VIDEO EQUIPMENT IS ALLOWED ON THE FIELD DURING GAMES??? He knew exactly what he was doing, knew it was wrong, and now that he's been caught, can't man up and just admit he did something that was against the rules.

Re: It's not over yet for Belichick and Patriots
It's definitely not over yet for Belichick and the Patriots. It was reported tonight that his contract got extended until 2013. Who says cheaters never prosper.

During the game tonight it was reported that the Jets are thinking about pursuing a complaint against NE about illegal radio communications and listening in to their radio communications. I'll try to find a story about it.

Re: It's not over yet for Belichick and Patriots
With Belichick conceding what he thought the rule meant. The Commissioner has to be wondering just how many years this has been going on?
Better order the 53' trailer for this load.
Surprisingly this is a situation where belichick should have kept his mouth shut like he usually does. This opens a whole can of worms now.

I get the feeling that the Commish is responding to the widespread criticism that he was too soft on the Pats. Perhaps he's just looking for an excuse to up the penalty.

This sounds about right to me. Kind of like NFL officials calling "makeup" penalties after knowingly blowing a call.
The laughable thing about all this is that the Patriots are allowed to gather the video tapes, files and notes themselves. I can hear it now, "gee commisioner, this is everything we could find", as the shredding machines churn in the backround.

I have not yet been able to confirm rumors that Fawn Hall is working for the Patriots front office.

Re: It's not over yet for Belichick and Patriots
I just heard on the radio that other teams are coming forward with information that they have about the cheaters use of video and jamming opposing teams radio frequencies.
I wonder if the Rams are among them.JUST WIN ONE FOR THE FANS
