    It's official...

SBXL is rigged in the Steeler's favor.

A red-zone drive is killed by the same holding the Steelers got away with on the previous drive. A VERY ticky-tack penalty takes a Seattle TD off the board. The Steelers' OL continues to hold and get away with it. Now a TD is awarded when the ball never crossed the plane. On the VERY SAME PLAY the EXACT type of holding that took Seattle out of the red-zone was committed and ignored.

I really don't care which team loses, as I dislike both, but the officials are most definately assisting the Steelers.

I was just thinking about that as well Gary but you also have to wonder what the hell the hawks were playing at wasting all that time?

Bad officiating does not automatically equal a fixed game. The refs do seem to be helping the Steelers a bit more, but Seattle isn't helping their case with horrible game management at the end of the half.

Some conspiracy theorists have predicted a Pittsburgh win due to a numerologic and symbolic connection to the Illuminati.

My hopes for a 0-0 tie are over...I just wanna see a good game. Next to last NFL fix until pre-season.

I know that any ram fan doesn't really care about a SB if we are not there, you just want to sit back relax and enjoy a great football game . . . played by the players, not the umps. I'm not watching the second half, its frustrating seeing those zebras taking over the game. You can run that tape over and over and over and that ball never crossed the line

I think that I have seen the Steelers offsides a couple of times and Seattle keeps getting called for these ticky tack holding calls. I never thought that I would defend Seattle on anything, but this is just not a well or evenly officiated game.

Also, it looks as if the Seahawks receivers have reverted back to their form from last year.

This was nothing like the farce that was SB 36.

Seahawks just looked unprepared and the poor decisions of Hasselbeck lost it for them.

I dont know it was very close,if I was a ref I'd judge the call as not a td.I dont think it would have made a difference in the outcome, but you never know. Its over Pitt has 5 trophies.

    Three threads about the Refs.
They are not too happy. I went to a friends to watch this, I told them in the third quarter, Seattle can't win, Pittsburgh is the favorite and the refs are going to do all they can to make it happen. I was cheering for them.

It happened in SB36, happened with Pittsburgh Vs. Seattle, and it happened today, this game is going to be one of those games with an asterisk after the name.

All the ball has to do is touch the line. You can make a case that it did when Ben was in the air. Of course, I don't know how the ref saw it that way, since his initial reaction was the ball was down at the inch line, and then he signaled TD afterwards. But even after that, the evidence upon replay was not indisputable.

I think Hasselback was MVP if the right calls had been made

Ok, guys, thank God, the season's over. Let's start from scratch. Here comes the longest 8 months.
Let's just hope to draft well and get some good FA and take over NFC WEST, NFC and finally take back our VL trophy well won in 1999 and robbed in 2001.
Also, let's hope that the nfl gives the UMPS free lasik surgery.

You're right, Hasselbeck should have been the most valuable player. After all, he made the most valuable play - overthrowing his receiver and getting picked off to basically seal the deal for Pittsburgh.
